<p>PURPOSE:To equip a headlight with high grade of directivity function and secure a safe running performance with correct light projecting by pivoting the headlight in such a way as capable of changing the heading of the car relative to the car body, and arranging a vertical shaft in cooperative working with the steering wheel or front wheels so as to interlock with the headlight. CONSTITUTION:A steering wheel is rotated clockwise so that the heading of the car body is turned to the right. Therewith a pinion 3 fixed in a certain determined position on the shaft 2 of the steering wheel rotates clockwise so that a crosswise rod 5 provided with a rack 4 meshing with the pinion 3 slides to the left. The headlight body 11 consisting of a reflection board 11a situated around a light source 12 and a supporting part 11b for the reflection board has a fulcrum shaft 14 supported by a bearing 13 in the middle part, and the tip is connected with the crosswise rod 5 through a universal joint 15. Accordingly the headlight body 11 projects the righthand field with leftwise sliding of the rod 5. That is, the headlight changes the facing direction being identical to the direction of the front wheels at all times, so that safe driving is ensured even while the car is running on hill roads, etc., with many curves.</p> |
