The invention relates to an autonomous slow-diffusion air conditioner intended to cool and to filter the air of a limited zone in a relatively large volume. The air conditioner comprises a slow-diffusion blowing box (1) constituted by a blowing plenum chamber (10), a recovery plenum chamber (11), a blowing grating (12) with distributing means (13). To ensure its autonomy, this box is associated with the technical compartment (2) comprising 1 fan (3), 1 compressor (4), 1 evaporator (5), a water condenser (6), an electric cabinet (7), and a filter (8). The device according to the invention is intended for zonal air conditioning in premises for commercial or industrial use. <IMAGE>
