PURPOSE:To obtain reproduction sound with high sound quality and low distortion factor by quickening an attack, slowing down its recovery so as to eliminate a sense of incongruity of the reproduction sound in the automatic sound volume control circuit for the reproduction device of an audio signal. CONSTITUTION:A level limit circuit 16 is connected in parallel with the input terminal of amplifiers 13L, 13R receiving audio signals SL, SR through sound volume adjustment variable resistors 12L, 12R. The reproduction circuit is provided with a detection circuit 15 detecting the output signal of the amplifier through the use of a diode. The output of the detection circuit 15 drives a drive element Q12 of the level limit circuit 16. The level of the output signal of the amplifiers 13L, 13R is limited depending on the output of the detection circuit 15. |
