PURPOSE:To provide a surface light emitting laser element of a structure, wherein lights of different wavelengths are emitted from the same reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:A second active layer 11 is formed between a second multilayer film reflecting mirror 2 and a third multilayer film reflecting mirror 8 and light of a wavelength 2 is emitted from the side of the mirror 21. Moreover, a first active layer 5 is formed between a first multilayer film reflecting mirror 3 and the mirror 8 and light of a wavelength 1 is osicllated from the mirror 8 to the side of the layer 11. As A composition of Al of the layer 5 is formed of a composition of Al smaller than that of the layer 11, the wavelength 1 of the light from the layer 5 is longer than the wavelength 2 of the light from the layer 11 and the light from the layer 5 is transmitted the layer 11 without being absorbed in the layer 11 and is emitted from the side of the mirror 21. |
