PURPOSE:To obtain excellent smoothness, solvent resistance and strength and excellent adhesion property with an electrode layer by forming a polyfunctional UV-curing resin layers on both surfaces of a plastic sheet to constitute a plastic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The plastic substrate consists of a plastic sheet 15 and polyfunctional UV-curing resin layers 17 formed on at least both surfaces of the sheet 15. On this substrate, an information recording layer comprising an electrode layer 13, liquid crystal phase 11', and resin phase 11'' is successively formed. The surface of the obtd. recording medium where the electrode is deposited is treated with plasma. Thereby, the obtd. information recording medium has good smoothness without roughness or warpage, a high electric resistance, high strength which prevents scratches on the back surface, and excellent solvent resistance. The information recording layer is made to have a skin layer so that blotting of the liquid crystal is prevented and that the obtd. medium enables high-sensitive high-contrast information recording without noise. |
