<p>PURPOSE:To provide the coordinate input device which enables coordinates to be inputted optically through remote operation and has no deterioration of a coordinate surface due to stress fatigue. CONSTITUTION:The laser light emitted from the laser light emission opening 3 of a laser pen 1 irradiates an optical decomposing element at an indicated position on the coordinate surface 10 where optical decomposing elements are connected on X-Y coordinates without any gap. The optical decomposing element reflects the light which is made incident in the top-bottom direction of the figure as shown by an arrow by 90 deg. and sends it to a Y-axial contact sensor 15 and an X-axial contact sensor 17 on coordinate axes. Data on the light intensity detected by the contact sensors 15 and 17 at the X-axial end part and Y-axial end part of the coordinate surface 10 are sent to a control part 30 through interfaces 16 and 18 and data lines 21 and 22 respectively. The control part 30 inspects the intensity distributions of the light detected by the contact sensors 15 and 17 and derives the coordinate position irradiated with the laser light on the X-Y plane from the intensity distributions of the light on the coordinate axes.</p> |
