PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent line tilt correction circuit capable of preventing deterioration in picture quality by cancelling a line tilt caused in a video signal with a correction signal. CONSTITUTION:A level of a pedestal portion at a front part and a rear part of a line of a video signal latched by a latch circuit 24 is fed to a correction signal generating circuit 28. The circuit 28 obtains a deviation of levels at a pedestal portion of the front and rear portions. Then the conversion section 28 similarly generates signals corresponding to the pedestal portion and the synchronization portion of the video signal and joints the two kinds of signals to generate the correction signal. Then the correction signal generated by the circuit 28 is fed to one input terminal of an adder circuit 29. A video signal written in a memory 23 is inputted to the other input terminal of the circuit 29 by reading the video signal in matching with the timing of the correction signal. Thus, the line tilt component of the video signal is cancelled by the correction signal and the video signal with excellent quality without line tilt is obtained. |
