PURPOSE:To obtain a processing unit for a compression signal grouping the compression signals based on their synchronizing signal, managing an error in the unit of groups and replacing data depending on the status of error. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit is provided with a synchronizing signal detection section 2 detecting a synchronizing signal from a compression signal, 1st and 2nd slice buffers 4, 5 storing tentatively grouped data in the slice unit on a picture compression format of the compression signal, a slice error detection section 6 managing an error flag for each data block to be grouped, a slice processing control section 7 comparing slice numbers included in the slice synchronizing signal to confirm and control the continuity of the order of configuration, a slice default memory 8 storing slice data to be outputted when no continuity is in existence in the order of slice configuration, and a slice data selection section 9 selecting data of 1st and 2nd slice buffers 4, 5 or the slice default memory 8 based on the control of the slice processing control section 7 in response to the state of error flag. |
