PURPOSE:To provide an acceleration sensor and its application system that prevents erroneous operation caused by circuit fault. CONSTITUTION:To the next stage of an acceleration sensing element 1 that generates, when acceleration is applied, physical effect amount (for example, static capacity) corresponding to that, an alternation signal operation circuit 15 (static capacity-frequency conversion circuit, for example, consisting of rig oscillators 20 and 20A) that generates alternation signal is connected. The acceleration sensing element 1 is a component of the ring oscillators 20 and 20A, and physical effect amounts C1 and C2 of the acceleration sensing element 1 is so set as frequency characteristics of the alternation signal is decided, and based an the alternation signal, acceleration is detected. Only the effect amount C1 may be frequency-converted for obtaining acceleration, or, the effect amounts C1 and C2 may be directly pulse-width-converted instead of frequency conversion for difference, or, only the effect amount C1 may be directly pulse- width-converted. |
