PURPOSE:To provide a gel cataphoresis device which can easily and positively inject a specimen to be analyzed to the recessed portion of a gel electrolyte layer upper edge in gel cataphoresis. CONSTITUTION:In the title gel cataphoresis device which is provided with a measuring chamber for housing a migration plate while it is raised and retained vertically and a lower buffer bath and an upper buffer bath for dipping the lower and upper portions of the gel electrolyte layer of the migration plate into a buffer liquid and uses laser beams as a detection means, an upper buffer bath rear wall surface 34 opposing the migration plate contacting front wall surface of the upper buffer bath 11 for dipping the upper portion of the gel electrolyte layer of the migration plate into the buffer liquid is turned into a light-reflection mirror surface. A light source may also be provided to apply light to the upper buffer bath rear wall 34 which is turned into a mirror surface from an upper part. |
