PURPOSE:To optimally select an area so that information for controlling the actions of a camera under the various kinds of photographing conditions is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A selected area switching means 1 switching the area selected by a selection means 1 according to a photographing mode set by a photographing mode set means 9 is provided. According to the set photographing mode, the selection of the area by the selection means is made different so as to obtain the information for controlling the actions of the camera. |
