PURPOSE:To provide the optical element consisting of a liquid crystal high polymer which does not allow a tacky adhesive layer to remain in spite of repeeling and is low in production cost by subjecting the surface of at least the unsaponified triacetyl cellulose layer on the glass layer side of the optical element having a laminated structure to a corona discharge treatment. CONSTITUTION:The surface of at least the unsaponified triacetyl cellulose layer on the glass layer side of the optical element including the laminated structure consisting of a liquid crystal high-polymer layer/the tacky adhesive layer/the unsaponified triacetyl cellulose layer/the tacky adhesive layer/the glass layer is subjected to the corona discharge treatment. The protection of the surface of the liquid crystal high- polymer layer with a proper protective layer is possible. The structure of the optical element consists of a cured acrylic resin layer/the liquid crystal high-polymer layer/the tacky adhesive layer/the unsaponified triacetyl cellulose layer/the tacky adhesive layer/the glass layer if the surface of the liquid crystal high-polymer layer is protected with the cured acrylic resin. The structure of a sheet for the optical element is the cured acrylic resin layer/the liquid crystal high-polymer layer/the tacky adhesive layer/the unsaponified triacetyl cellulose layer/the tacky adhesive layer/a release paper layer. |
