The present invention relates to a billiard table including a flat slate slab (1) equipped with regulation English billiard openings, a frame in the form of a rectangular framework (3) secured to the slate slab (1) and surrounding the latter, and at least two sets of removable cushion units (5-6), the units (5) of the first set of which are designed so that, once mounted on the frame (3), they constitute a regulation French billiard table, and the units (6) of the second set of which are designed so that, once mounted on the frame, they constitute a regulation English billiard table. The frame (3) has, on each of its sides, two bearing surfaces (12 and 13) which face inwards, extending longitudinally and being oriented perpendicularly with respect to the plane of the slate slab (1). Each cushion unit (5-6) has two corresponding bearing surfaces (15 and 16) arranged so as to interact with an adjacent frame bearing surface (12, 13, respectively) when the said unit (5-6) is fastened on the said frame. <IMAGE>
