<p>PURPOSE:To allow stringing of a wire having a carbon fiber reinforced tension member while pinching an end part thereof without breaking the carbon fibers. CONSTITUTION:A wire has a carbon fiber reinforced tension member 6 applied with aluminium strands 3. Split sleeves 13A, 13B are previously provided with irregularities 18, corresponding to the irregularities on the outer peripheral face of the tension member 6, on the inner face of an insertion hole 17 for passing the tension member 6. When the tension member 6 is clamped by the split sleeves 13A, 13B of a steel clamp 10 and a tightening ring 16 is fitted thereon, the tension member 6 can be gripped strongly at an end part thereof without applying useless compressive force. Since the tightening ring 16 is made of a shape-memory alloy, the tension member can be tightened automatically to an optimal state.</p> |
