<p>PURPOSE:To provide a keyboard system in which a power uselessly spent during the time not in use can be sharply reduced without affecting an operation during the time in use. CONSTITUTION:This system is equipped with a key matrix 102 in which plural key switches are arranged like a matrix, microprocessor 101 exclusively used for detecting inputs to the key switches of the matrix, and circuit 105 for supplying a driving clock signal to the processor. Also, the system is equipped with a means which measures a time since the last key input is performed, and a circuit 103 which always detects the presence or absence of the key input. The key input detecting operation is continuously operated during a normal time, and when the key input is not performed in a fixed time, the microprocessor 101 is changed to a low power consumption state, and when the key input is performed in the pertinent state, the microprocessor 101 is restored to the normal state, and the key input detecting operation is resumed.</p> |
