PURPOSE:To constitute a KARAOKE device so that a singer enjoys singing, while looking at the text, and a musical instrument performer can enjoy a musical instrument performance by looking at a code name by displaying the code name in the vicinity of the lyrics. CONSTITUTION:Based on melody data read out of a RAM 62, in accordance with an instruction of a sequencer 23B, a text image and a background image conforming to a progress of a melody are generated in video processors 23D1, 23D2, and displayed on a monitor 12 through a video selector 23c. In the case that a background image from an LD changer 11 is also used, these three images are synthesized by a video selector 23E and displayed. Also, an input terminal for connecting an MIDI musical instrument 42, that is, an MIDI interface 64 is provided so that a musical instrument sound and an effect sound, etc., can be sounded from the external MIDI musical instrument 42 during the musical performance. Moreover, with respect to a user who executes a musical performance by connecting the MIDI musical instrument 42, a code name is displayed in accordance with a display text on the monitor 12. |
