PURPOSE:To provide a charater input device capable of improving the recognition ratio of an inputted hand-written character and easily executing input operation. CONSTITUTION:When a hand-written character is inputted (a2) to this hand- written character input device, the candidate character data of the hand-written character are stored (a3) as variables E in the order of candidates. When the character sort of the inputted hand-written character is not specified (a4), the 1st candidate charater is determined (a7) based upon the character sort data of the hand-written character inputted in the preceding time. When the 1st candidate character displayed on a recognized character display area is not a required character, a required character is selected (a13) from the 2nd candidate or after displayed on a candiate character display area and adopted. The adopted charater is fed back (a19) to a learning information part. |
