PURPOSE:To ensure the validity of data by detecting efficiently a dynamic error generated at the time of writing the data in a nonvolatile memory. CONSTITUTION:In the error detecting method for adding a checksum 12c to data 12b and storing them in a nonvolatile memory 12, and detecting an error of the data 12b at the time of read-out, this method is constituted of a first step for storing a prescribed certification code 12a in the nonvolatile memory 12 together with the data 12b in the case the data 12b is stored normally in the nonvolatile memory 12, at the time of storing the data 12b in the nonvolatile memory 12, and a second step for deciding that the data 12b is an error without using the checksum 12c in the case the certification code 12a does not exist at the time of reading out the data 12b. |
