<p>PURPOSE:To make the coating size of a conductive paste for side-face terminal electrodes nearly definite in a plurality of rod-shaped substrate pieces and in individual parts in the lengthwide direction of the rod-shaped substrate pieces when both length-side end edges in each rod-shaped substrate piece are coated with the conductive paste. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate roller 20 is arranged and installed so as to be freely rotatable between a coating roller 12 and a supply roller 16 inside a conductive paste tank 14 in such a way that the intermediate roller comes into contact with both the coating roller and the supply roller. On the other hand, a clamper 10 with reference to a rod-shaped substrate piece A3 which has been arranged and installed in parallel with the axial line of the coating roller 12 is installed in a part at the side of the coating roller 12 in such a way that it is moved back and forth between an advance position in which the rod-shaped substrate piece is brought into contact with the coating roller 12 at the rotation stop of the coating roller and a retreat position from the coating roller.</p> |
