<p>PURPOSE:To allow the output of a detection signal only when a heat source intrudes within a desired predetermined region narrower than the essential detection area being monitored by an infrared detector. CONSTITUTION:The infrared detector comprises a plurality of infrared detecting means 1a, 1b for detecting intrusion of a heat source within predetermined detection area Aa, Ab by receiving infrared rays from the detection area Aa or Ab by means of an infrared detection element 5 through an optical system 4. The plurality of infrared detecting means 1a, 1b are disposed such that the detection areas Aa, Ab overlap at a part of region La. When the plurality of infrared detection means 1a, 1b detect the intrusion of heat source simultaneously, a predetermined detection signal is outputted.</p> |
