A controller for a plasma display is equipped with a first control device (11) for applying a pulsed voltage between a first electrode and a second electrode (Yi) of a display cell including three electrodes, a regulation circuit (14) for regulating a quantity of electric charges accumulated due to the application of the said pulsed voltage, and this controller includes a delay element and a switching element connected in series to one another and the delay element and the switching element connected in series to one another are connected between the first electrode and the second electrode (Yi) of the display cell. A DC discrimination element is provided in the regulation circuit (14), being connected in parallel with the delay element in order to regulate a discharge current applied to the delay element. <IMAGE>
