An arc welding or cutting torch, in particular plasma welding or cutting torch, with a sleeve part of electrically insulating material which is held on the front part of the torch and covers the torch nozzle at least at the periphery. Attachments, such as, for example, spacers, straight-cut guides or the like, can be mounted on the sleeve part with the engagement of locking and counter-locking means provided on the attachment and the sleeve part. In order to obtain easy assembly and dismantling of the attachment with at the same time reliable and lasting retention, provision is made for the locking means to be designed as a spring element which is accommodated in an annular receptacle of the attachment or of the sleeve part and of which sections project radially relative to the receptacle, and for the counter-locking means to be designed as an annular groove arranged in the sleeve part or the attachment. In the mounted position of the attachment, the spring element engages in the annular groove with its radially projecting sections.
