A portable electronic apparatus is described, comprising a housing (4) which is in the form of a box and is made of synthetic resin, and a circuit unit (80) which is accommodated in the housing (4). The circuit unit (8) comprises (at least) one circuit board (81a, 81b) having circuit parts (84) which produce interference signals in operation, a frame (rack) (82) which is fitted with the circuit board (81a, 81b), and a screen (83a, 83b) which is formed from sheet metal and encloses or surrounds the circuit board (81a, 81b) and the frame (82).
