The invention relates to a connecting element for releasably connecting a piece of equipment to a handle, which exhibits a part which can be fastened on the handle and a further part which can be fastened on the piece of equipment, it being possible for the two parts to be connected to one another. The invention is distinguished in that the parts can be pushed together and one part exhibits a catch which can be latched into a catch-receiving means of the other part, the parts being secured against rotation with respect to one another by means of a rotation-prevention device.
