Method for the production or processing of a running thread

In the production or processing of a running synthetic thread which is wound to form a cross-wound bobbin, a measurement of the thread pull is carried out in the winding zone. The output signal is compared with a reference signal. The reference signal contains the hypothetical thread-pull trend which is obtained by changing the traversing speed or other parameters of the winding method. The result of the comparison is an amended thread-pull trend which gives information on actual faults in the production or processing method and on the quality of the bobbin produced. The result can also be used for regulating the method.
