<p>A cable bolt (1) has a cable element (8) composed of plaited wires (6, 7), and having an internal passage (9) partly occupied by a rigid tube (17) provided with a connection (11) incorporating a non-return valve (22) so that bonding material can be passed along the internal passage (9) and between the wires (6, 7) of the cable element (8) to enter the annular gap between the bolt and the bore (12). A securing head (13) expands to engage the borewall (12), and incorporates a second non-return valve (and/or a bursting disc) which opens when high pressure is built up in the passage (9) to admit bonding material to the inner end of the bore (12). A member (15) prevents backflow, and an element (20) ensures mixing. <IMAGE></p> |
