<p>A sealing arrangement for attachment to the window frame (8) running around a window opening on a vehicle door comprises a sealing strip (24) made of extruded plastics or rubber material and incorporating metal reinforcement (34). The strip (24) fits over a flange (18) forming part of the window frame and locks into a channel (22) formed in the frame. The strip (24) also has a lip (42) which defines a channel (44) for receiving the window glass (46). The strip has a locking protrusion (30) having a shoulder (32) and a hollow interior chamber (31). The latter enables the shoulder (32) to pivot about a pivot point (52) to allow the shoulder (32) to pass over a re-entrant lip (23) at the mouth of the channel (22) and to lock behind the lip (23). The strip (24) can thus be fitted and removed without the use of a tool. <IMAGE></p> |
