PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the safety against a safe-light and the residual color property of the sensitive material by composing the emulsion layer of the sensitive material of a specified silver halide particle contg. a prescribed amount of an iridium salt, and by incorporating a specified compd. in the emulsion layer or the another hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. in the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion layer contd. in the sensitive material is composed of the silver halide particle contg. the iridium salt of <=1X10<-6>mol. per 1mol. of silver, and having silver iodide content of 0.1-4.0mol.%, and the compd. shown by formula I is incorporated in another hydrophilic colloidal layer contd. in the emulsion layer. In formula I, R1 and R2 are each alkyl or aryl group, etc., R3 and R4 are each hydrogen atom or alkyl group, Q1 and Q2 are each aryl group, X1 and X2 are each a bond or a divalent linking group, Y1 and Y2 are each sulfo or carboxyl group, L1, L2 and L3 are each methine group. Thus, the sensitive material which has the excellent safety against the safe-light and the excellent decoloring property at the time of a rapid development processing and the high sensitivity against a light source having high illuminance, and is usable to a He-He light source or a LED light source, is obtd. |
