<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title particle with which a coated or printed surface having an almost constant, bright metallic tone when viewed at any angle can be obtained, by coating a base foil on both sides with a colored coating containing an improved pigment. CONSTITUTION:The particle a comprises a base foil 1 having a colored coating film 5 on each of both sides 3 and 4 excluding the edges 2, the film 5 containing a pigment 7 consisting of pigment flakes formed by crushing. The foil 1 is preferably an aluminum foil 6-60mum thick. The pigment 7 is preferably melamine cyanurate. The film 5 is preferably a baked synthetic thermoset resin film having high transparency. The foil 1 has been punched into a substantially rectangular shape in which the contour of the edges 2 has no acute angles and has at least one indentation 6.</p> |
