PURPOSE:To obtain a pigment composition which, when dispersed into a vehicle for a printing ink, a coating composition, etc., gives a dispersion excellent in flowability and long-term stability and imparts good gloss to the vehicle by incorporating a specific phthalocyanine derivative and an inorganic compound into a phthalocyanine pigment. CONSTITUTION:The pigment composition comprises a phthalocyanine pigment, a phthalocyanine derivative represented by the formula MePc-(SO<-+>3NR1R2R3R4)n wherein MePc is a metal-free or metal phthalocyanine residue which may have 1 to 15 substituents which each is a chlorine atom and/or a bromine atom; R1 to R4 each is hydrogen, an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl, or a polyoxyalkylene; and n is an integer of 1-4, and a compound represented by the formula (M1)j wherein M1 is an alkali metal or NH4; X is CO3, OH, SO4, PO4, NO3, etc.; and j is an integer of 1-3.
