PURPOSE:To obtain a flavored fat capable of floating on the surface of a soup as fat granules, excellent in appearance and long period preservability, and useful for noodles, etc., by shaping an animal fat containing a prescribed amount of water, mixing the shaped products with the non-volatile extract of the spice of a Labiatae plant, and subsequently filling the mixture in containers, etc. CONSTITUTION:A method for producing the objective flavored fat comprises shaping tallow, lard, etc., containing >=4 wt.% of water into granules, mixing the shaped animal fat granules with the nonvolatile extract of the spice of a Labiatae plant such as rosemary preferably in an amount of 0.05-0.4wt.% (based on the weight of the flavored fat), filling the mixture in containers, sealing the containers, and subsequently sterilizing the filled mixture. |
