PURPOSE:To provide a rolling bearing provided with an inner ring which can bear the use under an engagement stress higher than particular MPa, and shorten the time necessary for its process. CONSTITUTION:The inner ring of rolling bearing used by applying engagement stress is formed by carburizing alloy steel whose carbon content is 0.3-0.7 weight %. The carbon content (C1) of a surface part on the raceway surface side of the inner ring is set at 1. 3 weight % or less, and a difference (DELTAC: C1-C2) between the carbon content (C1) of the surface part and the carbon content (C2) of a core part is set at 0.4 weight % or more. Where the residual austenite amount of the surface part on the raceway surface side of the inner ring is 4.0vol% or less and the hardness of the raceway surface is Hv 720 or more, it is possible to achieve both good dimensional stability of the inner ring and long service life even under a high temperature and with lubrication containing foreign matter.
