PURPOSE:To obtain printed matter characterized by the printing liquid does not becoming a marbled state in the light color parts of patterns, gently changing in light and shade from a dark color part to a light color part and sharp in the contours of patterns by an ink jet printing method. CONSTITUTION:The carrier 16 running in the lateral direction of matter 17 to be printed is loaded with at least two printing heads 15B, 15C so as to divide the heads into a plurality of stages in the direction crossing the running direction of the carrier 16 at a right angle and printing liquids 19,20 having the same color but different in density are injected from the nozzles of the printing heads 15B, 15C and the light and shade of patterns is expressed by properly injecting the same color printing liquids 19,20 different not only in dot density but also in density. |
