PURPOSE:To inexpensively provide an air addition type atomizing device capable of easily attain excellent atomization with stable pattern even when the supply pressure of a coating material and air is low and suitable even for metallic coating. CONSTITUTION:An orifice type fan shaped atomizing nozzle 5 is fixed at the tip of a truncated cone shaped holder 6 so that the fan shaped atomization is set in the state of vertical direction and an air nozzle member 7 having a central air nozzle 13 composed of a notched part 11 and a truncated cone inside surface 10, two pairs of side auxiliary air nozzles 19 provided at the projecting part 18 and a side air nozzle 20 provided at the outside thereof is mounted so as to surround the atomizing nozzle.
