PURPOSE:To surely prevent the peeling of a laver sheet from a rolled SUSHI (vinegared rice) using a laver sheet pressing mechanism of an apparatus for the preparation of a hand-roll style SUSHI and prepare a hand-roll style SUSHI having good appearance and high commercial value. CONSTITUTION:A definite amount of cooked rice 2b is placed on a laver sheet 31 on a forming mechanism D consisting of right and left laver-wrapping plates 21, 22 openably pivoted to a middle laver-wrapping plate 20. The rice is formed by rolling an ingredient 44 in the rice and, at the same time, the rice is wrapped with the laver sheet 31. The laver sheet pressing mechanism of the preparation apparatus for hand-roll style SUSHI having the above structure is provided with a pressing bar 32 attached near the forming mechanism D in a state liftable and fallible with a driving mechanism 33. The laver sheet 31 wrapped around the cooked rice 2b by the laver-wrapping plates 20, 21, 22 is pressed with the pressing bar 32 near the wrapping end between the end and the wrapping plate 21 along the length. |
