PURPOSE:To achieve cost reduction and miniaturization of an ink jet device as a whole by making the distance scanning the interior of an ink chamber by a pressure wave during a period reaching a next adjacent jet nozzle from a jet nozzle larger than the distance between mutually adjacent jet nozzles. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric elements 201,204 being energy generating means are provided to both ends of one ink liquid chamber 102 allowed to communicate with a plurality of nozzles 152. The pressure waves generated in the ink of the ink liquid chamber 102 scan in the direction almost vertical to the nozzles 152 and ink liquid droplets are injected from the nozzles 152 by the synthesis of the pressure waves. As compared with a conventional ink jet device having ink liquid chambers and energy generating means same to nozzles in number, one ink liquid chamber may be provided and the number of the energy generating means is less than that of nozzles. By this constitution, the volume of an ink liquid droplet is increased and the structure of this ink jet device can be simplified. |
