PURPOSE:To prevent engine blowing and to mitigate shock at the same time by detecting throttle opening, by calculating the time change rate, and by controlling the line pressure according to the value based on higher on-up characteristics and lower off-up characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The output of an engine 1 is transmitted to a transmission mechanism 4 through the torque converter 3 of an automatic transmission 2. The discharged oil of an oil pump 5 is pressure-fed to an oil pressure controller 6, and the friction elements of the transmission mechanism 4 are thereby controlled. The solenoids 31-34 of the oil pressure controller 6 are controlled by an A/T controller 30 based on the output signals from the sensors 13-15 for detecting the drive condition of the engine 1. The time change rate of throttle opening detected by a throttle sensor 13 is calculated by the A/T controller 30. The line pressure is controlled according the level of the time change ratio based on a higher on-up characteristic and a lower off-up characteristic. |
