<p>PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of cooling in the direction of plate width by supplying cooling water on-line from the lower part of a static high temperature metallic plate, photographing the upper surface with an infrared ray camera, seeking surface distribution of cooling capacity, estimating temperature unevenness in the plate width direction and setting a nozzle arrangement so that this enters an allowable range. CONSTITUTION:A cooling pipe nozzle 1 is mounted under a high temperature steel plate 3 mounted on a frame 2 to supply cooling water to the lower surface. The infrared ray camera 4 is mounted on the upper part of the high temperature steel plate 3, the temperature distribution of the upper surface of the high temperature steel plate 3 is measured and the measured values of temperature distribution are recorded on a recorder 5 at any time. Since the timing of cooling start is confirmed by sending signal from a recorder 5 as soon as a shutter to shut the cooling water is opened, the cooling time can cope with the temperature change. In this way, the arrangement of cooling nozzles by which cooling in the width direction of the high temperature metallic plate can be equalized can be decided easily.</p> |
