PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material which is excellent in shelf life, especially oil resistance, plasticizer resistance, and solvent resistance of a recorded image and further excellent in recording sensititvity. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a developer is provided on a base material, a thermal recording layer contains a compound containing 2,2'-dithiosalicylic acid and an epoxy group. The compound containing the epoxy group is preferably 4-benzyloxyphenyl-4'-(2-methyl-2,3-epoxypropyloxy) phenylsulphone. |
