PURPOSE:To provide a pivoting means for rotary swash plate which is simple to fabricate and install and in which the load on a hinge mechanism is reduced. CONSTITUTION:A variable capacity compressor machine comprises a rotor 11 secured to a drive shaft 6, a sleeve 12 fitted on the drive shaft 6 slidably, and a rotary swash plate 14 which is tiltably pivoted through a bearing element 30 held by the sleeve 12 and coupled with a rotor 11 through a hinge mechanism, wherein the bearing element 30 is so arranged as to pivot the swash plate 14 through relative fitting with a spherical seat formed on the swash plate 14.
