ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING STATUS REGISTER

PURPOSE:To reduce a burden on a controlling device in processing when processing is conducted repeatedly using the same information for a target to be controlled to enhance a processing speed as a whole system. CONSTITUTION:This device comprises a status register 1 storing information representing the state of a device; a status masking register 2 storing information representing an unwanted part of the information stored in the status register 1; and a status masking circuit 3 erasing the unwanted part of the information of the status register 1 on the basis of the information stored in the status masking register 2 and outputting status information.
