PURPOSE:To provide a storage facility capable of compatibly satisfying storage efficiency and retrievability by providing a storage yard to store a stocker unit row and a retrieval yard to carry out retrieval, deposit and delivery of a load and providing a guide unit to guide the stocker unit row and its driving device on a stocker unit. CONSTITUTION:A storage yard S has a storage space to store stocker units I-Z, its stocker units 1a... respectively have a plural number of wheels W and they are connected to each other free to bend by pins P. Between the wheels W, a guide 11 and a guide groove 10 provided on a floor are engaged with each other. Additionally, the guide groove 10 is provided in the storage yard S so as to stand abreast of the stocker units I-Z with a slight clearance, the guide groove 10 is provided in a retrieval yard K so as to carry out inspection and deposit and delivery work, and the guide groove 10 is connected to each of the guide grooves 10 of the storage yard S.
