PURPOSE:To eliminate defects such as the generation of scuff marks on a sheet, the defective rotation of a guide roll shaft support section and others by guiding the sheet by means of jet in place of a guide roll used heretofore for guiding the sheet in a water tank. CONSTITUTION:Stainless pipes 7, 8 and 9 are provided in a water tank 6 of a sheet forming device for the purpose of guiding a sheet 3. A number of small holes are formed on the passing side of the sheet 3 on the pipes 7, 8 and 9, and water is jetted out of the holes. As the sheet 3 is guided by jet water at the time of passing through the pipes 7, 8 and 9, the sheet 3 is never brought into contact with the pipes 7, 8 and 9. Scuff marks, therefore, are not generated on the sheet 3, and also as a guide roll is not required, problems of defective rotation of the guide roll and the like are not generated. |
