PURPOSE:To reduce longitudinal length of an engine and improve mountability of the engine by reducing both end counter weights which cancel unbalanceness of a whole crankshaft in weight and thickness compared to other counter weights. CONSTITUTION:A first and a fifth counter weights 26-1, 26-5 located on the sides of both ends 4A, 4B of a crankshaft 4 are set not greater than second to fourth counter weights 26-2, 26-3, 26-4 in weight. Smooth rotational operation of the crank-shaft 4 is kept by holding balances of the first to fifth counter weights 26-1, 26-2, 26-3, 26-4, 26-5. Thickness TA, TE of the first and fifth counter weights are thus smaller than thicknesses TB, TC, TD of the second to fourth counter weights. Total length of the crank-shaft 4 can be reduced, and longitudinal length of a V-tape engine is reduced. |
