PURPOSE:To provide a safety wheel and a core thereof for uniformalizing the contact pressure distribution of the core and reducing the damages of the inner surface of a tire while improving riding comfort under the punctured condition of the tire. CONSTITUTION:In a wheel having a pneumatic tire T attached to a wheel W, an inside ring 6 along the outer peripheral surface of a rim part R of the wheel W is combined with an outside ring 7 located on the radial outer side of the inside ring 6 by a peripherally extending rib member 8 and a plurality of widthwise extending web members 9, and a plurality of the web members 9 are inclined radially to constitute a core 5 attached to the wheel W.
