PURPOSE:To record an image of distinct contours by a method wherein a thermal recording layer provided on a base material is formed as a thermally transparentized layer containing a hollow particle having a specific hollow cubic rate. CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording material suitable for an OHP (overhead projector) is provided by providing successively a thermal recording layer 5 and a protective layer 1 on a base material 3. The thermal recording layer 5 is formed as a thermally transparentized layer having a hollow particle 2 of which a hollow cubic rate is 35-60vol.%. The recording layer 5 part before heating is in an opaque state. However, the hollow particle 2 is crushed by heating, and the recording layer in the heated part is transparentized thereby to form an image. The hollow particle 2 contains air, and is softened and flattened in heating to discharge the contained air. From that standpoint, synthetic resin is used, and styrene resin, styreneacrylic copolymer, acrylic resin, etc., are preferably used. |
