PURPOSE:To extract a tasty coffee with full flavor by repeatedly pouring a specified quantity of hot water intermittently, and at the same time, eliminate residual hot water in the hot water storage tank after the extraction. CONSTITUTION:The electric coffee maker is equipped with a coffee extracting unit 8 which heats water from a water container by a heater unit 4, and receives the hot water which is discharged from a hot water storage tank to store the hot water, and extracts coffee. A hot water feeding port 6a to pour the hot water heated by the heater unit 4 into the hot water storage tank 6, and a discharge port 6b which communicates with the hot water storage tank 6 and water container 2, and a valve 12 to discharge the hot water in the pot water storage tank 6 to the coffee extracting unit 8 are formed. Also, in the hot water storage tank 6, a shape memory alloy spring 11 is built-in. Then, an air chamber 13 is formed around the shape memory alloy spring 11, and the temperature of the hot water is indirectly transmitted to the shape memory alloy spring 11 by the air chamber 13, and at the point when the specified hot water is stored in the hot water storage tank, the valve is opened, and the hot water is poured on coffee powder at a stretch. By intermittently repeating these motions, a coffee liquid with fuller flavor is extracted. |
