摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of plate thickness and the productivity thereby by removing the variation of the plate thickness on the outlet side occurring periodically to the rotation of a reel at inlet side or at the outlet side when a rolled stock is taken up round the reel on the outlet side. CONSTITUTION:This method is an automatic plate controlling method for a rolling mill to correct a roll gap in accordance with deviations of the plate thickness of the rolled stock measured on the outlet side when the rolled stock is taken up from the reel 4 at the inlet side to the reel 5 at the outlet side through a rolling roll. The variation of the plate thickness at the outlet side occurring periodically to the rotation of the reel 4, 5 at the inlet side or at the outlet side is detected from the deviation of the plate thickness measured on the outlet side and a quantity of correction of roll gap when the this timewise variation of plate thickness at the outlet side occurs is calculated from a quantity of correction of a roll gap when the variation of plate thickness at the outlet side occurs and a quantity of correction of roll gap when the last time variation of plate thickness at the outlet side occurs to correct the roll gap according to this calculated result.</p>
