<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary drum device capable of suppressing the floating of tape caused by an air entrainment at the entering side of a head as much as possible and without the damage of the tape even in the rotary drum device of a high speed rotating system. CONSTITUTION:When the magnetic tape 4 is wound on the rotary drum device 1 in the magnetic recording/reproducing device provided with the rotary drum device of an upper rotary drum system, a tape pressing part 22 having a function to suppress the tape floating amount is integrally provided on a tape guide 20 positioned at the place nearest the head entering side of the rotary drum device. That is, a circular-arcuate outer peripheral surface 2 for controlling the tape running posture and the tape pressing part 22 having a flat surface 22a connecting to the circular-arcuate outer peripheral surface are provided, and the surface (flat surface)22a of this tape pressing part is formed so as to get the nearly tangential relation respectively against the circular-arcuate outer peripheral surface 21 of the tape guide 22 and the outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum device 1.</p> |
