摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To increase the speed of scanning procedures by forming two parallel energy screens for controlling the approach of a gamma ray camera to a patient. CONSTITUTION: Both of gamma ray cameras 18 and 19 are fitted with approach control units 36 and 37. For example, the camera 18 is fitted with the approach control units 36 and 37 at such positions as different from each other via space, and two parallel planes 38 and 39 of an energy beam are formed off and beyond the surface of a collimator 41. Also, the camera 18 is moved, so as to keep the outer contour of the body of a patient to be visualized between the beams 38 and 39. When one of the beams 38 is interrupted, a motor does not operate and no input/output operation takes place. On the other hand, when one of the beams 39 is interrupted, the motor causes an external input/output operation. As a result, a pressure sensitive plate 41 as a failsafe safety protection device operates and, at the same time, the motor radially moves the camera in an outer direction from the patient's body.</p>
